A Boutique Heritage Retreat

Close to the historic Amber fort is " Khas Bagh " a farm retreat tucked away in the Aravali hills. A stone's throw from the 12th century Amer Fort, Khas Bagh is built on the lines of a medieval style haveli with open courtyards, verandahs with arches and intricately carved stone pillars and jaalis, all hand-crafted by local craftsmen. Twenty five luxuriously appointed rooms/suites with antique furniture, a polo lounge with black and white family photographs, magnificient sandstone pool, sprawling lawns & verandahs overlooking the hills, all add to providing an authentic bespoke Rajput stately home-stay experience.

The Hosts

Here the pace is unhurried, you can lounge by the pool, or find a quite space in the courtyard or the garden to read, reflect or just daydream.

The property is managed by Ransher Singh a polo player and his father Colonel N S Rathore retired from the elite para commando regiment of the Indian Army.

    A real hidden gem

"We were lucky enough to spend 4 nights here which was a fabulous retreat from the hustle & bustle of central Jaipur. Well worth the short drive from all the main sights. The staff & hosts were all lovely, attentive & keen to help you."

    A delight!

"Khas Bagh is truly a delightful place to stay. The service is exceptional and the hosts are warm and welcoming. We had several interesting conversations with them, hearing about their lives in India and they were just as interested hearing about our lives in the US. The room we had was gorgeous. We felt like royalty throughout our stay. The night before we left we ate the best meal we had throughout our 40 days in India. I requested the recipe for a lamb dish and it was sent pronto through email. I wish I could have stayed longer at this enchanting place. Such a wonderful change from larger hotels. Thank you Khas Bagh for a memorable experience."

A beautiful and quiet historical property, making us feels like home.

"This place is off the beaten path and has a magical feel to it. Great ambience and beautiful property. The service was excellent as was the food and amenities. They have a great bar! Will definitely be back to enjoy the tranquil peace and quiet of the countryside. It is well located and was easy to access."

    Most relaxing stay

"After staying in several international chain hotels, it was a wonderfully refreshing change to spend two nights in this stunning property where we were made to feel more like visiting friends of the owner, an international polo player, and his wife rather than paying guests (there were moments in our stay when I could almost imagine I was in a Jilly Cooper novel). The architecture, furniture and decor were exquisite and our room was large, clean and well-equipped for a family of four. The food was great and we enjoyed eating in the splendid stately-home dining room. The staff couldn’t do enough to meet our every need, particularly when it came to looking after our young daughter who had picked up a stomach bug in Agra. The only disappointment was that the unseasonably cold winter weather meant it was too chilly to enjoy the lovely swimming pool. But that is something we can look forward to next time."

    Excellent hotel

"We recently stayed at the Khans Bagh hotel at the end of our visit to India’s Golden Triangle through Audley Travel.
Our hosts and owners of the Khas Bagh were Ransheer and Harsha who are a delightful young couple who clearly love to embrace their guests in their lovely hotel.
If we travel to this part of the world again we will definitely stay at the Khas Bagh
    Thank You"
